Terms & Conditions
Payment
To confirm the booking agreement, the traveler must make a deposit of €1000. The deposit must be paid within 14 days of receiving the invoice. If this does not happen, the booking agreement will be automatically canceled.
The remaining amount must be paid no later than 3 months before the start of the trip. If this does not happen, the booking agreement will be automatically canceled. The cancellation costs will be charged to the traveler and amount to 100% of the deposit. If the trip is booked within 3 months before departure, the traveler must transfer the full sum immediately. Until the payment is received, the organizer is free to allocate the booking to other travelers.
Payment must always be made in Euros.
Cancellation
The traveler can cancel the booking agreement at any time. Cancellation must be done in writing. In case of cancellation, the traveler is liable for the following costs:
Cancellation up to 9 months before departure is free
Up to 6 months before departure: 50% of the deposit
Less than six months before departure: 100% of the deposit
If a replacement is found, cancellation is free of charge. The traveler will receive their money back once the replacement has paid the invoice.
Health & fitness
During the trip, the traveler is required to hike with luggage and camera equipment over mountain paths and uneven terrain. By signing up for the trip, the traveler declares to be in sufficient health to participate in the trip and associated excursions without issues.
Cancellation by the Organizer
The organizer has the right to cancel the booking agreement before the start of the trip and refund the paid deposit or travel sum without being liable for compensation. If the organizer cancels the booking agreement, they must inform the traveler in writing as soon as possible.
The organizer is not responsible for reimbursing airline tickets purchased by the traveler.
Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure, the organizer will attempt to minimize the damage for the travelers and, if possible, rebook the trip. If the traveler does not wish to make use of this, the travel sum minus the costs already incurred by the organizer will be refunded.
The new trip may not be more expensive than the total travel sum of the originally booked trip. If the new trip has demonstrably less value, the organizer will notify the traveler in writing and refund the difference.
Programme Changes
Changes in the program may occur before or during the trip due to the weather or unavailability of certain attractions and lodgings. In such cases, the traveler is not entitled to a refund of the travel sum.
Special Requirements
Special requirements, such as dietary preferences, must be communicated to the organizer in writing before or during the booking process. Additional costs may be charged for this, which will be communicated before payment. If agreed upon in advance, the organizer will make an effort to accommodate these needs. The organizer is not responsible for fulfilling special requirements by third parties such as restaurants or hotels.
Insurance
The organizer does not provide insurance. However, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers mountain hiking and cancellations.
Liability
The organizer is in no case liable for death, bodily injury, and resulting medical treatments. The organizer is also not liable for damage to, theft, or loss of personal belongings, except in cases of intentional misconduct or negligence by the organizer. Under no circumstances is the organizer responsible for the actions of travelers or third parties.
Traveler Obligations
The traveler is required to follow all instructions from the organizer or service providers to ensure a smooth execution of the trip. The traveler is liable for damages, injuries, or costs resulting from failure to comply with these obligations.
Complaints
Complaints about the course of the trip must be communicated to the organizer both verbally and in writing during the trip unless this is reasonably impossible. The organizer is obligated to make an effort to find a solution. If this is not possible, the organizer is required to respond with a written, motivated explanation within one month.

Minors are not allowed to participate in trips organized by Alps Photo Tours.
