Unique places, unique photos, unique experiences

Small groups

As opposed to many operaters, my photo tours feature small groups with a maximum of just five participants. This allows us to move fast and gives me time to answer everyone’s questions about composition and camera settings. I can guarantee that after the photo tour you’ll return home with great photos in your camera and a better understanding of photography.

All inclusive

My photo tours follow an all-inclusive principle. From the time I pick you up to the time I drop you off I arrange and pay for all lodging, breakfast, lunch, dinner & coffee breaks, local transport and the costs of excursions. This means that you can have a proper holiday without worrying about logistics.

Things not included in the all-in package are:

  • Travel to and from the start/ending points of the tour

  • Alcoholic drinks

  • Personal purchases & souvenirs

  • Travel insurance

  • Snacks for hiking and photo sessions

Unique places

During our photo tour I’ll show you my favourite photo spots, many of which are still unknown to the wider public. This allows us to avoid the big crowds and for you to find your own creative voice through your own unique compositions. Of course this doesn’t mean we won’t try our hands at some of the classics such as the famous San Giovanni church in the Vilnöß valley but we’ll spend most of our tour in much quieter places.

We spend the night in excellently situated hotels and mountain huts. This drastically shortens the travel distance in the early morning and evening, thus allowing us more time to find the perfect composition. Furthermore, I believe that nothing is more inspiring than an epic view right out of your hotel window.

Discover the Alps on foot

Oftentimes the best views are only reached by foot. Whereas most tour operators will only visit photo spots next to the car park, we’ll actually make several hiking excursions. This allows us to visit photo spots unknown to the greater public and to find unique and thrilling compositions never photographed before.

This doesn’t mean that the photo tour is a pure hiking experience. Hiking is seen as a means to an end and there’ll be plenty of rest in between. The biggest hikes during the tour take around three hours (though we’ll stop for photo opportunities) and feature around 300 meters of ascent.

As we’ll stick to the easier trails, the photo tours should be within the capacity of anyone with a good fitness level or hiking experience. Still, bear in mind that a weighty camera setup will add to the challenge and that even easy mountain trails are seldomly level. I therefore recommend to keep your setup and backpack as light as possible.
